YES! We CAN ship in winter – we prefer to use FedEx, where we drop your plants off (avoiding the cold in a delivery truck) and mark ‘Hold at Depot’ where you go and retrieve your plants, again avoiding a cold trip in a delivery vehicle.
We will respond to your email/fax with your PRE SHIPPING invoice total. Depending on shipping method, we (or the carrier) will bill you a second time for ACTUAL shipping cost. We do not believe in profiting from overestimated shipping costs. We are in the orchid business, not the shipping business!
PLEASE BE PATIENT - we are often out of town, and may not necessarily be able to respond to you immediately. Rest assured, however, orders for limited items are processed on a first come first serve basis. Thanks for your understanding!
A packing/handling fee of $10 applies to all orders. This helps offset the cost of packing materials: tape, peanuts, paper towels, stakes, stickers, labour, etc. You will almost certainly receive some sort of recycled box from us as well - in part to help keep costs down, as well to be a little friendlier to the environment. Many many Zephyrus customers have received their plants in good order in a Huggies box!
